I see the wedding day as a sacred celebration, with enough emotion, beauty, art and joy to fill a book all on it’s own, and I photograph accordingly. Rather than staging my own idea of what a wedding should be like, I prefer to allow the wedding day to proceed uninterrupted and instead seek to capture authentic moments into a timeless visual novel, based on a true story.

What about portraits? To me the wedding portrait says, ‘and they lived happily ever after’, which is obviously an essential part of the story and the climax, but it isn’t the whole story, and I want to tell the whole story. During my portrait sessions, I seek to create images that are natural, and yet fantastical at the same time, I’m looking for a real but utopian ending to the story.
